Too many individuals, when it comes to marketing focus to much of pitching their product to people who are not interested, because they are focused more on making money rather than building a strong relationship with their customers.
It’s a difficult concept to grasp as obviously everyone is in business to make money. However if you could get your mindset into that “people are more important than things”, how can you fail.
Here are a number of tips to help you come to grips with attraction marketing and they may even help you in marketing your business more effectively.
So here we go!
  • Be authentic: I believe this to be the number one insight that can separate you from the masses. Been true to self and true to others is a strong skill that will set you apart from the rest.  Don’t pretend to be something you are not. Don’t fake it as you will always struggle in business and in life. 
  • Share your story: People enjoy listening to someones story. It shows they are real and not false. We all have a story so don’t be afraid to share it. It’s important to let your guard down as this will help you build good relationships with your customers.
  • Business can be very challenging so you need to establish a positive mindset. This has certainly helped me and has come in handy when having to overcome challenges that you can have when entering into any digital marketing business. This also builds your resilience and keeps you focused on what is important.
  • I remember this video about “play on words”. Be mindful of the message sent and how the message can be received. Always send a compelling marketing message that inspires and engages people. The results will then come.
  • Take the time to develop yourself. Take the time to look at things differently, through a different lens and you will identify opportunities. Find a mentor or a coach who is already successful and learn from them.
  • Consider “How do you want to be see” What do you want to be known for? What sets you apart? Build your own brand, your brand you. People can relate to individuals who are real. Remember there is only one you. Don’t be afraid to express your personality.
  • Get good at building relationships: If you ever get a chance it is worth reading “How to win friends and influence People” by Dale Carnegie. A fantastic book that has really helped me. Remember people buy from those they know, like and trust.
  • Have a passion for helping others: If you don’t like working with people or you don’t love helping people, then marketing may not be for you. You gotta have passion and this will show in everything you do. 
  • Share what you know with out anything in return. Learn to share everything. Give as much as you can for free. Remember helping others to be successful will help you. Always have in your mind of helping others to shorten their journey in business and this will help you. 
  • Build trust: People buy from those that they like and trust. Building trust comes with been honest so always tell the truth about your service or products. 
  • Add a little bit more: Always consider over delivering on a promises and ask yourself if you can add more value than you already have.

Finally How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. Break things down. Remember this saying “Big trees grow slowly”. Focus on one thing at a time and once you have mastered that move on to the next thing.
